What made Caasimolar support Lucifer but oppose Asmodeus? Was it pride? Since Asmodeus and Lucifer ae essentially the same being I duppose it was not due to their different agendas...

How much power did a President hold politically? I can imagine him stronger politically than all Lord Regents except the King of Hell. And in terms of raw, personal power, I suppose it was something in line with Archdevils, right? Since Malphas was a presiden I'm mot so sure... Actually, does personal power has anything to do with one's appointment to position of President
To compare with the Dark Ministry, what were the Senate's responsibilities? Is it a safe assumption that Asmodeus formed the Ministry due to Caasimolar's disbanding of the Senate? If the Senate would ever be reformed, how will it 'cooperate' with the Ministry?

Really great work here. Caasimolar sounds like a VERY interesting lad and I'm waiting for an expansion of this text.
And by the way, how many members did this Senate included?

729, if I had to guess. Not all always present at once, mind you.

Lucifer and Asmodeus are not the same being, they are avatars of the same being. As such, they have completely different personalities and approaches to Lawful Evil. Given that half of Hell supported Lucifer against Asmodeus, that shouldn't even be cause for notation. However, as to the specific 'why', for Caasimolar, it was because he is a traditionalist. Very old school, and he didn't like the idea of the Treasurer of Hell rising up against its King.

Politically, the President was in an interesting position. I would consider it somewhat akin to the chief speaker of the Roman Senate during the reign of the Caesars. The Senate would have resembled a cross between the Roman Senate, and the sheriffs of ancient Britain, around the time of William the Conqueror. There were clear rules on what the president could do, but not clear rules on how they interacted with the Lord-Regents or how the Lords were allowed to interact with them.

Personally, the Presidents held power ranging from a weak Duke of Hell to a minor archdevil. Given that everything lower ranked than a pit fiend might as well be a serf, that is the range of pretty much every viable candidate for the role.

The Dies Irae's conclusion heralded the formation of the Dark Ministry, so quite a few ages after the President disbanded the Senate. I can't speak to the future for certain, but I believe that the Dark Ministry would not survive any event that prompted Caasimolar to reconvene the Senate, as such would likely be the return of Lucifer or some other such cataclysmic happening.

I'm not sure how large the Senate was. 729 (or 891, or 999) would place it as slightly smaller than the Galactic Senate, which I think might be appropriate. If not, 6,561 members. Somewhere between there, I think.

Does Treasurer of Hell still exist as a position, or did Asmodeus do away with it? Or is he still technically Treasurer of Hell?

I believe Mammon holds the position, as it makes no sense for the King to be his own Treasurer.

Another one, which also relates to the Dark Ministry. It is said in tGoH that there was once a President to the Dark Ministry, named Cantrum, but after his assassination the position was never reoccupied. In a history where the Senate exist, would there ever have been abPresident to the DM? since Casimolar is still technically the president, it would seem abit... Unlawful of Asmodeus to put a president of hell without the last one being retired...

Since this material is entirely Kain's concept (and a really good one), I may be off the mark here, but the Senate was a political/civilian organization while the Dark Ministry is a military/quasi-religious organization. In short, president of one wouldn't/shouldn't imply president (or any other role) in the other.

I see. I was confused about this certain role due to both positions being referred to as President of Hell (if I remember correctly that is)

I don't recall Cantrum ever being referred to as a the President of Hell, to be honest.

He wasn't... But I think he was over the Denomination of Command or something like that. I also think he was the first among equals if not the outright leader of the Dark Ministers.
