[We're going to hit him with a bunch of bad juju. For both following spells, we'll use ill omen to make him roll twice take worst, and evil eye to inflict -4 to said save. Then we'll curse him (Will DC 21, roll twice take worst, with -4 on the rolls) for -6 Wisdom. Finally, we'll use suggestion, for DC 21, roll twice take worst, with -7 on the rolls. Since the suggestion is open-ended, if he fails his save it will be in effect for 8 hours of questioning, and then expire.

If he should resist either the curse or the suggestion, we'll repeat the process. We have a few days to get this right.

I anticipate that at this point it would be best to do the actual questioning in a side room today]

Gaerlan is not idle in dispatching his agents in response to the attack of the Inquisition. The strong force brought in in anticipation of the raid is retained for the week in case another attack comes. The rest of the Knot's free agents scour Farholde in search of answers to their masters' questions.

"Are there any belonging to the Inquisition in Farholde?"
"Did Myrtle and the other women pass through Farholde?"
"How many Nuns are at the Abbey?"

If anyone in Farholde has any hint of the Inquisition, or anyone matching the description of the missing prisoners, Gaerlan's spies are not able to find them. Only the remaining priest of the church has any instructions on contacting the Inquisition, the same ones given to every priest in Talingarde.

The spies do confirm the numbers already given by the Baron and the Inquisitor. The Abbey consists of approximately three-hundred warrior-nuns, though their numbers do fluctuate with deaths and incoming acolytes and pilgrims. Of those, no one knows exactly how many are capable of true miracles, but estimates place it somewhere around twenty all told.

Pieter Eddarly hasn't had much to do. Not since he attempted to flee in terror from the battle and then lost his sight and was beaten unconscious. He woke, an uncertain length of time later, in what seems to be a barred steel cell. From the feel of cold drafts of air, other than the bars enclosing him, his new home is open to a room or corridor.

But now he hears footsteps, and a woman's voice.

"Why did you come here?"
