DM: As Valian leaves the mausoleum, he sees Margaret standing near the entrance, sort of in a daze.

"Margaret! I hope you're ok. Krusk and Nebin turned on me." He holds up the fat man's head and hands, grisly trophies that prove his victory over the dark master. "Will you leave this place with me? You're free now."

Margaret shakes her head slightly, then responds. "Oh, hey. Wow. Yes. Damn. Really? Sure."

Continuing from here
Continuing to pad her gold-laden rear, Margaret says "So there's still a curfew, so maybe we should stay in this house overnight and then start planning tomorrow?"

"What kind of terrible place makes people stay home at night?"

"A place that has recently had a lot of crime problems," Margaret offers.

DM: I'm skipping ahead to the following morning because WE DON'T ROLEPLAY BEDTIME IN THIS GAME.

The following morning, after a fitful night's sleep (the alchemical fumes from below gave you all weird nightmares) you find yourselves eating what little food is left that isn't for animals or decayed. Mostly dried meat and stuff made of corn meal, and a bottle of wine.

In between mouthfuls, Margaret offers the following: "So here are my thoughts. First off, we unload the merchandise. There are plenty of folk who'd love to get their hands on some alchemist's fire without dealing with the Guild, or the authorities for that matter. These lady scents should fetch a pretty copper too, though I'd like to keep one or two. Even better, I think, is if we can find someone willing to take all this heavy armor off our hands. No doubt there's a few squires who'd rather get a discount suit of armor than spend their inheritance on a new one. Plus lugging it around must be a pain for you guys, huh?"

She sniffs the wine and nearly vomits. "That was not wine."

Composing herself, she continues. "Now I know a guy who knows a lot of guys. If I let him know today that we're looking to liquidate, I think he could get something together in...say...a week? We'd have to lay low, though. No making trouble with any alchemists until after the deal is done. That's one of Jack's rules, gotta stay nice and civil-like if you're going to work with him."

"That sounds fine with me," Valian nods. "I don't really know the ins and outs of fine society. A week gives us time to plan out our Alchemist Guild meeting. Does not making trouble include asking a few discreet questions about the Dark Master? I'd like to figure out what his amulet and ring did."

Margaret recalls how subtle Valian's questioning can be around town.

"You can but...you know you're the only one who calls him that, right? We never even learned his name on the island. He just sort of...showed up, and then he was Master after...whatever he did. Speaking of which, you should probably find some alcohol to preserve that head in. Already starting to smell. In fact, do that instead of asking around. And don't show anyone around here the head."

Mezentius nods, satisfied. Best to let an intermediary handle vulgar commerce.

Not that he won't acquaint himself with the rough value to be expected before sending any items off with Margaret.
