During Combat
Gaius prefers to let his minions and spells soften up an enemy before engaging in melee. He will protect himself with shield, mirror image, greater invisibility, and the like while his spawn engage in grapples, before moving to strike at the toughest living enemy in a mockery of a noble duel. He enjoys using dominate to turn his enemies against one another, and tries to take prisoners if possible, to feed on later, but if threatened, he holds nothing back, burning every last spell and resource to destroy the impudent mortals who dare threaten him.
Morale The prideful vampire is no coward, and would prefer true death to the humiliation of surrender. He is also not a fool, and will use dimension door to flee to one of his coffins if he is below 70 hit points and suspects his foes are able and willing to end his immortal existence. After all, he has eternity to plot vengeance.

Mage Killer: Gaius' counterstrike ability and Spellbreaker feat, in combination, mean that any enemy who casts a spell in his threatened area provokes an attack of opportunity, regardless of whether they cast defensively; if they succeed at casting defensively, the attack of opportunity is resolved after the spell, and cannot disrupt it. The DC to cast defensively in his threatened area increases by +6.

Weaknesses Prince Gaius is an old vampire and so is not as susceptible to some traditional vampire weaknesses. He is not repelled by garlic and immersion in running water does nothing. Only holy symbols of Mitra repel him. He laughs at the holy symbols of other gods (particularly evil gods like Asmodeus). Likewise, at one time or another, Prince Gaius has been invited into virtually every prominent home in the city of Ghastenhall. Stakes through the heart still immobilize Prince Gaius. Exposure to sunlight still hurts the prince and staggers him. However he is not automatically destroyed upon the second round of exposure. Instead Prince Gaius takes 3d10 points of fire damage every round after the first he is exposed to direct sunlight. His damage reduction and fast healing do nothing to reduce or heal this damage.

It looks like his base attack bonus is 1 point too low. Cool looking guy though.
