He gets to be the focus of Asmodeus' awesome intro in tGoH, and I noticed that theres a Dauth Alman who's apparently a greater god and leader of a trio of evil gods? Is that the same being? Was he tempted by Asmodeus and fell from grace and achieved godhood?

The fall from grace is not what caused him to become a god, no. However, the story is inverse parallel to Jesus' Temptation. And yes, the implication is that Alman is Dauth Alman.

Yes, the Alman in Asmodeus's intro is the God of Redemption (or Damnation, depending on whom you ask), Dauth Alman, from The Godspell Campaign Setting. It's really an... apocryphal telling since the Cilidian, one of Midlorr's holy books, doesn't have that particular story in it. At least, no one's found a Cilidian with that tale.

That's an interesting story to me. Is there anymore info on Alman's story and how he came to be an evil god? What exactly are we seeing in Asmodeus's intro?

Well, officially, Dauth Alman has always been an evil god. The story is meant to be a 'holy crap, seriously?' bit. It would be similar to revealing that Hextor was on a good path before Asmodeus. Or Demogorgon.

Dauth Alman is the major LE god in the Godspell campaign setting. He is a member of the Aldra, which is a pantheon known for hedging out cosmic interloping on their world. That he succumbed to pride and fell from a redeemer into a tyrant would be unthinkable.

Though it would explain why he's so keen on keeping Outsiders outside.

The story sort of portrays him as thinking that this path he was on is the one that he was headed down originally. In essence, he doesn't realize he was tricked out of his birthright.
