Gain a permanent base of operations. The Horn is a nice start, but in the long term Gaerlan would love to set up a fortress for his minions, projects, and so forth. Perhaps outside of the oversight of Thorn. Probably in mainland Talingarde, rather than a far flung colony. A castle perhaps that we can expand on.

Build a group of fanatically devoted spies / killers / mystics (ongoing with One Purpose, growth to come with Irulen and so forth, not needing particular GM attention).

Dominate prisoners / enemies, forcing them into slavery / servitude with broken spirits. Gaerlan likes to conquer people, and a big part of that is in what follows afterwards. Generally speaking, when he's being played as a complete *******, the goal is to force people to bend to his will, rather than just inflict harm.

Pick up a consort... or two... or three... or... You get the idea. Right now Gaerlan has his hooks into Z, but whether that plays out in the longer term I suspect will be up for debate. Myrtle is an open question. I notice beautiful twins though that he might turn towards his way of thinking. Gaerlan's never going to be in the type of harem building that Lucavi had, because Gaerlan isn't interested in what he perceives as lessers, but that doesn't mean that he (and I) wouldn't like to get a bloodline going before he goes the vampire route (or whatever). If it's through people he outgrows in time, or through a stable of powerful beautiful women, or what not, that's a good outcome.

Turn Myrtle, facilitate her growth into an opponent, or otherwise move towards resolving. There have been hints of movement thus far, but they seem to jerk back as quickly. While I do enjoy the chase, this one has been going for a bit without seeming to move. Every time there seems to be growth it is followed by a scene of complete refusal. Chases, not Nascar going around in circles. Instant resolution isn't needed, or even desirable, but I'd like to see a firmer progression one way or another.

The Twins - If Tasker does not prove amendable to embracing our view in the long term, set him up for vile, wicked, cruel death at the hands of Valiessa, having her play into Gaerlan's hands. Seduce Traya.

Z - Get our own hooks into her group, as needed. Potential avenues through Irulen? Otherwise generally keep tabs right back. Need to develop more in Farholde.
