I see a Grand Admaral there, them are supposed to be legit terrifying so I'm happy to see what they do with it. Apparently this is going to be the very first Star Wars film with no Force users or Force sensitives which is exciting. And there's gonna be more Mon Mothma! SUPER EXCITED for more screen time for her!

Looks interesting, though I'm leery they may try to retcon things we've already been told about pre-ANH history.

Given that they retconned everything we know about post-RotJ history, I think that ship has sailed.

I was thinking about stuff in the movies themselves, but I guess there wasn't as much actually said as I was remembering.

Well, don't get caught reading up on it here...it just murdered four hours of my time. I figured I'd just get a few quick quotes and ended up reading about the First Blade, some super ancient Jedi Lightsaber...

I'm familiar with Wookiepedia, yes.

God, the old EU sucked up so much of my adolescence.

I enjoyed the movie. Looking back to episodes 4-6, 1-3 and 7, I am struck by how young they feel - they aren't really 'kid' movies, and they aren't exactly 'family' movies either, but I very much feel like they aren't not 'kid' or 'family' movies either. Rogue One was, I feel, a darker star wars film, like the series had grown up. Matured.

I'm very impressed visually with how the film looked. I have specific things I liked, but spoilers.

Yeah, pretty much what he said. I will add that Vader very much lives up to his nostalgic hype.
