A scar from an old wound crosses his forehead, and it is said that he is the black-sheep son of a wealthy family in the highland mountains.

So I posted the 5e updated versions of these guys here. One of the noticeable things is that they manage to get up there in CR, unlike the band of lames here, who barely budge 5. In fact, most of the originals seem to be right in line with 5e NPC power levels, while the updated ones seem more around PF/3.0 NPC power levels.

5e has an interesting NPC dynamic, because now you can have 9th level individuals in a city, but at CR 3, they aren't the answer to any of the city's problems.
